How to transform your Raspberry Pi into a personal Cloud with Cozy

Is your Raspberry Pi sitting in a cupboard drawer, or gathering dust because you had trouble setting it up? Or are you new to the Raspberry Pi?

A way to get the dust off is to use it as a personal server. Put your favorite web apps on your Pi and synchronize it with your device is a good use case. But it's often a little bit annoying to setup everything and administrate the whole thing. Fortunately here comes Cozy, an open source personal cloud ! It's a piece of software that adds a very friendly UI on top of your Pi to make it able to deploy personal web apps super easily.

This way you can manage your own server like a smartphone: setup or remove your web app with one click and run backup with one or two commands. And you can add any features you want by writing simple Node.js web app.

Among the applications available there is a contact manager and a calendar manager that can be sync through the available caldav/cardav server. And of course, there is a lot of different things like a music player, a Feed reader and a self-quantizer.

Try Cozy through our official Raspberry Pi image and enjoy your new home personal cloud!
